General Interest:

I am happily married (28 years), and have a wonderful 19-year old daughter, 6 cats, and a beagle. I'm not a dog person.

I have a degree in electronics engineering, and I enjoy designing and building electronics projects - from replica Fender tube guitar amps ('59 Bassman) to ghost-hunting devices (so far, I've built a Geophone as seen on Ghost Hunters, and I started, but have changed focus, on a stand-alone data logger). I've been a software developer for over 25 years, and I was once a ham radio operator (Novice and Technician class).

I dabble with bass, acoustic, and electric guitars, as well as the fiddle and mandolin. I'm awesome on kazoo (kidding).

I developed an interest in the paranormal shortly after I invited a whispering entity into our garage after fooling with a Ouija board. About two weeks later, my daughter and I heard whispers in darkened areas of the house. I promptly hid the board and asked the entity to leave (which it did).

I furthered my knowledge of the paranormal by intensely studying every episode of Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures ("Dude, did you hear THAT?"), Animal Planet's "The Haunted", Celebrity Ghost Stories (Bio channel), and countless others. I know, get a life.

I have an affiliate website, AnimalsCanSense.org, that is geared towards people whose pets may be experiencing paranormal activity and their behavior is a concern to their owners. Stop by and say, "Boo!". Check out my blog on www.animalscansense.blogspot.com. Share your stories of your pets' encounters with the paranormal.

I have recently started reading books on parapsychology. There appears to be some differences in the way EVPs, apparitions and hauntings are perceived as compared with what I call 'coventional ghost hunting', wherein apparations are a physical manifestation of the entity. For example, parapsychologists believe that apparitions are caused by the entity (or disembodied consciousness) telepathically inducing the vision of itself into our brains. That all makes sense to me, except if that was the case, how could photos or videos ever be taken of an apparition (and they have been). More on this as I sort it out...

Lately, I've been in contact with David Rountree of S.P.I.R.I.T. labs. His group is actively involved with the scientific research of the paranormal. Read about the EVP/EMF experiment on his website, or visit my blog on www.floripar.blogspot.com.

For light reading, I like the Stephanie Plum (bumbling bounty hunter) series by Janet Evanovich, and the Harry Bosch series of detective books by Michael Connelly... and how could I ever forget Harry Potter?.

What location would I love to investigate?
The Stanley Hotel, Bobby Mackey's (well... maybe not), and the Slosser furnaces. Actually, any location where I can have a significant personal (or evidential) experience to further reaffirm my belief in the paranormal.
A Few Favorite Movie Quotes:
"Well... snakes don't have parts, but if they did, I'd say you was eatin' his knee."
